Unstoppable Werewolf Instinct — VIII

Cohost writing prompt: @Making-up-Monsters — Monster who will continue their attention-seeking behaviour until they receive the attention that is their rightful due

Sprawled across the width of the bed, Gemma whines.

"Nm," Wanda says, through the hair tie she's holding in her mouth as she gathers a ponytail. "I'm up, I'm going for a jog, you can't lure me back to bed," she adds, tying her hair back.

Gemma whines louder, eyes puppy-huge, soulful, sad.

"I know you'd rather cuddle till lunchtime, but I'm a morning person, you should be used to it by now."

Time to break out the bug guns. Gemma rolls on her back, forepaws tucked up to her chest, and wriggles hopefully for belly rubs.

"That doesn't even work when you're a wolf, babygirl," Wanda says, but she's looking now, out of the corner of her eye, lips tugging upward; which is half the battle.
